Life at Shambhala Heights follows a gentle and natural rhythm. There are no scheduled programs and no formal retreat structure. Guests are free to spend their time in the way that feels most nourishing — resting, reflecting, practicing yoga or meditation, or simply enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the retreat.
Morning often begins with sunrise over Nanoose Bay. The first light slowly appears over the ocean and distant mountains, creating a peaceful start to the day. Some guests enjoy quiet meditation or yoga practice, while others simply sit with a cup of tea and watch the changing colors of the sky.
During the day, many guests explore the forests, beaches, and hiking trails of Vancouver Island. Others choose to rest, read, or spend time in the yoga room. The retreat offers a calm space where everyone can follow their own rhythm and reconnect with nature.
In the afternoon and evening, the retreat returns to a slower pace. Guests may gather for tea, share quiet conversation, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. As the day comes to an end, Shambhala settles back into stillness — a gentle space for rest and reflection.
